Dexter Brittian, 66 of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born, December 6, 1949, in Jellico, TN, he was the son of Jerry and Pearl (Smith) Brittian. He married Juanita Daniel on February 1, 1969. Dexter was employed as a production worker for GM Powertrain for 31 years, retiring in 2000. Dexter was extremely talented in home and automotive restoration. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, but will be remembered most for being the best Papaw ever.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita; children, Dexter Lane Brittian, Christopher (Karrie) Brittian and Melissa (Jon) Kolmar; grandchildren, Brett, Ericka, Raya, Trenton, Kyra, Cameron, Charles and Chelsie; brothers, Harold (Regina) and Glen (Cindy) Brittian; sisters, Bobbie (Randall) Miles, Jeanette (Mac) Monhollen, Judy (David) Hollis and Lucille Monhollen. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eddie Brittian.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2016, at 11:00 am. Pastor Andrew Edwards, III, will officiate.
